A recap of the December 13, 2025, On Patrol: Live episode (#OPL 04-40) on Reelz, which also streams on Peacock, as anchored in the New York City studio by attorney/executive producer Dan Abrams along with studio analysts Tom Rizzo and Sean “Sticks” Larkin, follows below.

As #OPNation (i.e., the show’s fandom) is well aware, and for those viewers and/or social media users new to the show, On Patrol Live is more or less a reboot or rebrand of Live PD.

Update from Last Night

On Patrol: Live Tonight

Police chases with some motorcycles involved collectively formed the dominant theme in this all-new episode of On Patrol: Live on Reelz (which also airs on Peacock, among other platforms). In this On Patrol: Live episode guide, see below for details on all 16 law enforcement encounters across nine On Patrol: Live scheduled police departments on the current roster.

Apart from Deputy Guinn’s interview during the above in the pre-show update, Christian County did not appear.

Dan Abrams: “…as we keep an eye on what has been a very busy night here with a lot of activity, a lot of dirt bikes and motorcycles, and pursuits…”

Programming note: On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams strongly implied that Hazen, Ark., Police Chief Bradley Taylor, an #OPNation favorite, will be in the studio next week presumably in the absence of On Patrol: Live cast member Curtis Wilson.

On Patrol: Live Recap for December 13, 2025 (#OPL Episode 04-40)

On-Patrol-Live-stats-12_13_25
  • Baton Rouge, La. — In a search that consumed much of OPL‘s airtime, Sergeant Jordon Lear, Officer Christopher Coleman, and Corporal Brett Usey pursue a dirt bike who fled into a park/wooded area which includes mountain bike trails. “Unfortunately, we can’t PIT.” Perimeter established; K9 and drone resources deployed. “We’re gonna go on a little hike.” At one juncture, and despite the risks, Corporal Usey wades into the swamp to retrieve the abandoned dirt bike. The suspect is still at large. Sgt. Lear: “After a tiring trip through the Louisiana swamps, we were unable to find the guy. We did get his bike…[unintelligible] car camera that we have a good shot of his face because he turned around a bunch of times. So, hopefully, we got something to go on.”

Abrams: “These guys deserve a little hazard pay, I think, for this one.” On Patrol: Live studio analyst Tom Rizzo: “…us Yankees, we would not do that. You get these southern boys and girls, they are amazing to me.” Abrams: “These guys are the real deal…Corporal Brett Usey there, man; wow. That is commitment.” Rizzo: “And courage…I would have called Triple A…”

Listen below as, during this segment, On Patrol: Live guest studio analyst (and former co-host) Sean Larkin, in the context of cops on scene finally putting the dirt bike in neutral, playfully takes an opportunity to mock Dan Abrams for riding on the back of a dude’s motorcycle during the #Dantona field trip:

Watch below as the On Patrol: Live studio crew conducts a brief interview with Corporal Usey and Sergeant Lear about the swamp search followed by the above-referenced #Dantona footage:

  • Berkeley County, S.C. — In another extensive chase sequence, Lieutenant Kristin Riddle and many other deputies pursue a vehicle that allegedly was traveling at 130 mph on the highway. On Patrol: Live captions: “Searching for fleeing vehicle,” “In pursuit.” Stop sticks deployed. Traffic stop at gunpoint. Two adult occupants, who seem argumentative, plus a child. On Patrol: Live caption: “Suspect in custody.” Lt. Riddle: “That ended about as best as we could ask for…a good hit on stop sticks ended it safely…” A female passenger is also detained.

Listen below to a studio panel discussion about this incident in which Abrams stars out by saying “kind of infuriating to see him get out of the car, and seemingly, and particularly the woman, blaming the police for going in with weapons drawn in a situation he created”:

Lt. Riddle presents additional information after speaking with the female passenger: “So this is the kid’s mother. She says that she was [unintelligible] him to stop the whole time — says he’s got a license. She has no idea why he was running. There’s an open container in the car. She was pretty much in fear for her life the whole time, but she’s okay, kid’s okay…” Abrams: “…the good news is that child’s okay; no one was injured.” After speaking with the driver who claims among other things that cops were trying to “bamboozle” him, Lt. Riddle explains that the driver is “mad and said that he was trying to get home because he was scared of the police at 130 miles an hour, with his four year old in the car. So we’re just done talking to him because he keeps talking over us, and this sh*t’s not worth it at this point. We got his name; that’s what we needed.”

Abrams: “And the vehicle was stopped as a result of stop sticks after going almost 130 miles an hour. The ‘look at my previous mugshots’ defense…that’s a new defense that I had not heard previously.”

Abrams update: “…a big update out of Berkeley County where they had that pursuit, and the guy was arrested for an open container and for failure to stop for blue lights, right? This is the one where there was the four year old in the car. Well, the woman there and the four year old were released with the no charges. Grandma came to pick them up. So they are home and safe, and the guy is in some trouble.”

On Patrol: Live Hour 2

  • Wheeling, W.Va. On Patrol: Live caption: “Swerving in the snow.” Sergeant Jason Hupp initiates a traffic stop: “…you got to slow down when the weather’s like this…” The somewhat argumentative driver does not consent to a car search. K9 sniff; K9 alert. Driver: “There’s nothing in that car. If there’s something in that car, someone threw it in here.” Cops find no contraband in the vehicle after a probable cause search. The driver is released with a written warning. Before they part ways, Sgt. Hupp explains police traffic-stop procedures to the man in an attempt to reach common ground.

Listen below to Sgt. Hupp elucidates the process to the motorist (“…we have a right to get you out of the car on a lawful traffic stop at any point in time, no matter if you refuse…your interaction with police determine a lot on the outcome…”):

  • Clayton County, Ga.On Patrol: Live caption: “Crowd dispersal.” Deputy Shamari Smith and Lieutenant Jonathan Carey tells motorists to stop loitering at a location. Deputy Smith: “…you have three minutes, or I’m gonna put you in handcuffs, and I’m gonna tow your car, so all of you should be moving.”
  • Knox County, Tenn. — In a friendly traffic stop or merely an interaction, Officer Tyler Marzarago admires a vehicle’s apparent pyrotechnics or the equivalent.

Officer Marzarago reaction: “I am still a kid at heart, and that’s awesome to me. As long as he keeps it off while he’s driving, so that he doesn’t melt the front bumper of someone else, I’m not mad about it. But he’s good, so we’ll let him get out of here. He’s a creative fellow. I’ll give him that.” Abrams: “True ‘hot-wheel’ car there. A little batmobile…”

  • Daytona Beach, Fla. — Officer Michael Siena, Detective Ashlyn Cooper, and two of the Maher brothers (Richie and James) on a traffic stop. Three occupants. On Patrol: Live caption: “Testing for narcotics.” Probable cause car search. Abrams: “It seems in addition to drugs…they found some counterfeit money, and seems the defense is ‘I’m a YouTuber.'”

Listen below to, respectively, Officer Siena’s and Lt. Maher’s initial assessments:

Listen below to further information from Officer Siena:

Abrams update: “Let’s get an update out of Daytona Beach where that woman is arrested for possession of cocaine, fentanyl, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia. The guy with the counterfeit money and his friend were released with no charges.”

  • Triple Play #2 — a Rogers, Ark., dirt bike pursuit.
  • Daytona Beach, Fla.On Patrol: Live caption: “Investigating hit and run.” First responders are at two scenes: One where they detain an alleged female motorist outside a large party and the other where the crash occurred. Abrams: “Good news is [the motorcyclist] is alert there. We shall see what happens here.” A suspect vehicle is heavily damaged and smoking. The bike is also mangled.

Amidst some bleeping of the audio at the first scene, listen below to Officer Siena, Lt. Maher, and some of their colleagues make an initial assessment of the accident circumstances:

On Patrol: Live Hour 3

  • Clayton County, Ga. — In a pursuit, Lt. Carey implements a PIT maneuver. The driver is detained at gunpoint. On Patrol: Live caption: “Suspect in custody.” Deputies Smith and Louis Rinaldo are also on scene. Deputy Smith: “Obviously, the driver’s never been to Clayton County, so welcome to Clayton County.” Car search.

Lt. Carey recap: “Deputy Rinaldo tried to stop this car for whatever reason — I’m not sure. But either way, he decided to run from him. I was in the area…Deputy Rinaldo advised that he’s turning around, coming back towards here. So luckily enough, I was sitting here in the intersection, waiting on him. As soon as he passed by, I cut my lights on. He swerved out of the way, came southbound…so, minimizing the risk to the public…I went ahead and PITed him immediately, and we got him in custody. We’re gonna find out why he’s running. Maybe he’s just running for no reason, but we’ll see…his license is good. We found no drugs, no guns. He’s not wanted. He has no dead bodies in the car. So he’s literally running for no reason at all. I don’t know if he knows or not, but in the state of Georgia, if you get convicted of fleeing and eluding, you get a mandatory minimum of one year in prison that you have to serve. So well see.”

Listen below as Abrams, Larkin, and Rizzo back in the On Patrol: Live studio discuss this incident (Abrams: “That doesn’t happen that often when someone runs for literally no reason…”):

  • Knox County, Tenn. (pre-recorded segment) — Abrams introduces the segment by mentioning that “officers intercepted a pair of suspected drug dealers returning home with a pizza in the car, but that was just one little slice of a much bigger pie.” Detective Christian Monroe and other cops conduct a traffic stop. Det. Monroe: “They believe them to be drug dealers.” Pursuant to a search warrant, cops then converge on an apartment that is purportedly connected and allegedly find drugs and a gun. Officer on scene: “Call somebody to get your kids because I’m taking you to jail.” Subject: “Really? Why? I don’t have nothing to do with nothing.” Abrams: “The final tally was 1.3 kilos of fentanyl.”
  • Richland County, S.C. — Captain Danny Brown and colleagues conduct a traffic stop outside some stores. Weed allegedly spotted as Captain Brown claims below. Thee males detained. Captain Brown: “It ain’t my first day on the job, cuz. I’ve done this a bunch of times…” Probable cause car search on two vehicles.
  • Lee County, Fla. — Deputy Mike Knapp makes contact with a homeowner on a noise complaint pursuant to multiple calls from neighbors and politely asks him to turn down the music volume (“…I ain’t trying to jam anybody up for anything…”). Upon leaving, the deputy observes “looks like a very fun Christmas party…so hopefully they keep it quiet so we don’t have to come back, and hopefully none of the super-intoxicated people are driving.”
  • Triple Play #3 — an Auburn, N.Y., house fire rescue. [Note: On Patrol: Live makes the video unembeddable].
  • Wheeling, W.Va. — Watch below as Sgt. Hupp makes a friendly pedestrian stop for allegedly drinking in public. Sgt. Hupp: “They have a couple of beers in their hands, and I think one might have been urinating.” Sgt. Hupp: “I’m all about having a good time, but don’t do it…on a main road.” On Patrol: Live caption: “Yellow snow found.”
  • Daytona Beach, Fla. — Abrams: “We go from 13-degree snow to convertible weather, literally…” Officer Siena makes a friendly traffic stop.
  • Baton Rouge, La. — As the episode concludes, Sgt. Lear and Cpl. Usey conduct a traffic stop. Car search. A gun and weed allegedly found. “Sad to say, but a lot of dope hidden in car seats.” Abrams: “That is sad; finding drugs in a car seat.”
