On Patrol: Live Tonight

Shots-fired calls and car accidents formed the primary themes of this all-new, Friday the 13th, episode of On Patrol: Live on Reelz

In this On Patrol: Live episode guide, see below for details on all 29 law enforcement encounters across nine On Patrol: Live scheduled police departments on the current roster (although the Christian County Sheriff’s Office did not appear). On Patrol: Live Recap for March 13, 2026 (#OPL Episode 04-61)

OPL stats_03_13_26
  • Toledo, Ohio — Detectives Nate Insley and Aaron Dudley and other officers respond to a shots-fired call. Police detain two pedestrians, one of whom has a firearm, in the investigation. They are subsequently released. Det. Insley: “Obviously, they were very cooperative with us. They were just in the area of the ShotSpotter, and it happened one had a gun. He’s allowed to have the gun. There is no indicated that he fired a gun…there is no suspect description or anything. No shell casings either, so we had what we had, and he was cooperative, and went on his way.”
  • Baton Rouge, La.On Patrol: Live caption: “Responding to motorcycle accident.” Corporal Alandus Bickham and other officers plus the fire department and paramedics are on scene where two motorcycles that were allegedly racing on the interstate possibly crashed into each other or another car and ended up in a ditch. Both motorcycle operators are transported to the hospital. Cops examine the bikes involved.
  • Clayton County, Ga. On Patrol: Live caption: “Responding to barricaded suspect.” Lieutenant Joseph Toombs, Deputy Daniel Woods, and other cops respond to a hotel; they make contact with the person and enter the hotel room in question.

Lt. Toombs preliminary assessment: “So what it’s looking like right now is this guy is having some kind of break with reality, is having some kind of mental health crisis. He’s very manic, and he believes that there were four — three or four — people at his door trying to come in. He had the door barricaded, couch up against the door, all type of stuff. We’re gonna call EMS, see if they can come and evaluate him. Hopefully, they’ll be able to get a voluntary to go to the hospital for further evaluation. We’ll go from there.”

Listen below to Deputy Woods update this incident (“Now the complainant is alleging that he was involved in some kind of, like, scamming scheme, and he ran off with some people’s money, and these people are out to get him…”):

  • Lee County, Fla. — Deputy Nick Cittadino makes contact with a female neighbor on a report of someone knocking on a doors. It’s possibly just a prank by some local juveniles. On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of ding dong ditch.” Cops will search the area for any potential suspects. On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams: “So if those kids decide to do it again, they better be careful with that woman. It’s certainly not someone who sounds like they want to be messing with.”
  • Berkeley County, S.C. (pre-recorded segment) — a test drive becomes a high-speed pursuit by deputies:

Abrams: “First of all, that truck driver deserves a raise — being able to manage it the way that he did.”

  • Baton Rouge, La. — Corporal Jermaine Javius on a traffic stop. An occupant is detained on a warrant.
  • Daytona Beach, Fla. (pre-recorded segment) — Abrams prologue: Cops “got a report of a hotel guest who was asked to leave and wouldn’t, but apparently he was already ‘checked out.'” Officer Fertz Gaspard and colleagues respond to a potential trespassing incident that results in an individual being transported to a local hospital:
  • Berkeley County, S.C. — Corporal Dylan Lee responds to a shots-fired call in a residential area and searches the complainant’s backyard for evidence. Cpl. Lee: “We checked in the backyard. Nobody was back there. I don’t see any signs of damage or anything. So I’m gonna make contact with her again, just to let her know. We didn’t see anybody, but I guess while here, this guy is saying that somebody’s possible shooting in the woods. And then we got multiple calls coming in for shots fired…right now. So we’re just gonna try and pinpoint and see if we can make contact with whoever’s shooting because obviously we’re in a residential neighborhood. It’s not the brightest idea to shoot when you got houses 15 feet apart from each other…we’re gonna try and go pinpoint where the rest of the shots are coming from, but thankfully nobody was hit.”
  • Toledo, OhioOn Patrol: Live caption: “Report of shots fired.” Officers Jack Oberthaler and Stone York, among other cops, respond to an apartment complex and investigate. On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of menacing.” Possible false alarm, however. Officer Oberthaler: “So basically, they called in, said somebody had a gun, and now they’re claiming they don’t have a gun, and that it was just a knife. Guy’s apparently gone; just needed some property out of the apartment. Turned into a breach of peace. So the other crews can handle it.”

On Patrol: Live Hour 2

  • Clayton County, Ga. — In a shots-fired call at an apartment complex, deputies search for suspects who fled on foot. Abrams: “We heard the phrase bush bond there. It means the person fled on foot into the bush, potentially.”

Listen below to Lt. Toombs’ preliminary recap in which he laments the lack of cooperation from neighbors in investigations of this kind:

  • Triple Play #1 — a Saline County, Ark., high-speed pursuit:
  • Lee County, Fla. — Deputy Cittadino makes contact with a woman holding a chihuahua at a gas station who apparently or possibly has some sort of issue or complaint. On Patrol: Live caption: “In the dog house?”
  • Richland County, S.C. — Sergeant Kenny Fitzsimmons conducts a traffic stop on a truck for alleged speeding (82 mph in a 60-mph zone). Sgt. Fitzsimmons: “How come people want to be argumentative with me?”
  • Knox County, Tenn. (pre-recorded segment) — Abrams prologue: “…someone…apparently liked his rocks on the rocks.” Officer John Longendorf provides back up on a traffic stop. Car search after an alleged K9 alert. Officer Longendorf: “Whenever you see cups with just ice, that’s not normal. Usually they put something in the ice, like a drink. So taking this out and dumping the ice, there is ‘ice’ in the ice.” Meth and cash allegedly found. Three occupants are detained. Car impounded.
  • Baton Rouge, La. — Police, including Cpl. Bickham, respond to a report of a disturbance outside a convenience store.
  • Richland County, S.C. — Master Deputy Collins Harper pursues a fleeing vehicle during which his car bottoms out and he is forced to pull over. On Patrol: Live caption: “Assessing vehicle damage.”

Listen below to the studio panel and then Deputy Harper discuss this pursuit:

Deputy Harper: “…that’s less than ideal…I should have zigged, not zagged, and my car wouldn’t look like this…” Abrams: “Also, big shout-out to our crew out there who were inside that car as it happened. That’s what they do every day, along with the cops.”

  • Lee County, Fla.On Patrol: Live captions: “Dogs on the loose,” “Who let the dogs out?” Deputy Joshua Roos responds to this call. The owner of two of the dogs arrives and picks them up on scene. Animal control is notified for the other two.
  • Toledo, Ohio — Detectives Dudley and Insley provide backup on a traffic stop. On Patrol: Live caption: “Not a fan of tequila.” Car search. The motorist is released with no charges.
  • Daytona Beach, Fla. — Sergeant Keme Okoya makes contact with a pedestrian.
  • Berkeley County, S.C. –Corporal Lee, Corporal BJ Nelson with K9 Kai, and other deputies search the woods for a suspect who apparently fled from a vehicle. Cpl. Lee’s K9 partner Nash is also deployed in the search.

Abrams: “The search continues there. Switching up on the K9; the K9s have a certain amount of time, right?, that they can go, and then you have to switch them out, right?” Larkin: “Exactly; they needs breaks. They got to get in the car, cool down, get some water, just like we do.”

Listen below to Cpl. Lee discuss the search to this point:

On Patrol: Live Hour 3

  • Triple Play #2 — An Alachua County, Fla., pursuit:
  • Clayton County, Ga. — Lt. Toombs and Deputy Woods back up Deputy Desmond Whitson on a traffic stop. Weed allegedly found.
  • Lee County, Fla.On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of rock throwing.” Deputy Roos makes contact with the complainants outside their home. Deputy Ross: “…kind of weird to wait 40 minutes before calling us…” Deputy Roos searches the area for potential suspects. He also theorizes that the rocks may have been coming from a nearby construction site.
  • Toledo, Ohio — Officers Oberthaler and York on a traffic stop. The vocal female driver has no license. The passenger and the passenger exchange words. Bleeping. A relative is coming to the scene to drive the car home.

Abrams: “That’s another way of saying please invoke your right against self incrimination. It’s a different way of saying the same kind of point…just slightly different.”

  • Richland County, S.C. — Sgt. Fitzsimmons makes brief contact with a man apparently operating an ATV or the equivalent and appears to tell him to keep it off the road. Abrams: “Well, it looks like he’s giving a warning there.”

On Patrol: Live caption: “Someone else let the dogs out.” Deputies take the puppy temporarily. On Patrol: Live caption: “Canine in custody.” Abrams: “This is a super-cute stray dog who is now, quote, in custody as they try to find the owner — just discovered by someone…reported it to police…if that dog is not recovered, one thing I feel confident about is that it will be very quickly find a home.”
  • Lee County, Fla. — Deputy Roos backs up another deputy on scene who is a big OPL fan for a car accident where a vehicle is in a ditch.
  • BOLO — Houston, Texas:
  • Baton Rouge, La. On Patrol: Live caption: “No license plate.” As the episode concludes, Cpl. Javius initiates a traffic stop.
