The Artis Zoo is one of the must-see attractions in Amsterdam, Netherlands. With in excess of 700 animal species and founded in 1838, ARTIS is one of the oldest zoos in Europe. Plan to spend the whole day there. If you have the time, the premises also offers the Micropia microbe museum, for a separate admission. Note that ARTIS is located the same street as the Dutch Resistance Museum and the Holocaust Museum.
