Happy New Year!
Prior to the abrupt cancellation in June 2020 of the hit A&E reality show Live PD, this blog regularly posted a recap of each episode.
Perhaps lost in the all the big legal news this summer was the announcement that Live PD, the popular police ride-along reality show, is returning to weekend television in its previous time slots, beginning Friday, July 22, at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
Dan Abrams has acknowledged that his prediction was off in terms of a timetable for the return of the popular Live PD reality program, the absence of which he admitted has created a void in his professional career, after it was abruptly cancelled in June 2020.
In a homecoming of sorts, Cops, which the Paramount network abruptly cancelled in June 2020 in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd and the resulting nationwide protests, is coming back.
Live PD fan favorite Andrea Zendejas has quit the El Paso police department, moved from Texas to North Carolina, and has reportedly set up an account on OnlyFans.
A Texas grand jury has indicted Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody for alleged evidence tampering. If found guilty on the third-degree felony, he could face up to 10 years behind bars. Chody has denied any wrongdoing and claims the charge is politically motivated, given the timing.
Former Live PD host Dan Abrams claims that “active and ongoing discussions” are underway about possibly bringing back the immensely popular law-enforcement ride-along TV show.
Live PD Nation wasn’t kidding about disavowing the A&E network. Since panicky execs cancelled Live PD, its enormously popular flagship show, the A&E Network has lost 50 percent of its prime-time audience and a ton of profits.
Former host Dan Abrams hinted this week that the A&E cable television network could bring back Live PD, which was abruptly cancelled on June 10.
“I think A&E is doing what they said in their initial announcement, determining if there’s a ‘pathway’ forward. I hope so and think with some changes it could be an important part of the national discussion…”
The abrupt decision by the A&E network and Big Fish entertainment on June 10 to cancel Live PD still doesn’t sit well with fans of the immensely popular law enforcement ride-along TV show.
