Peter Fonda Tweet About Barron Trump Reported to Secret Service

A now-deleted tweet by Easy Rider actor Peter Fonda has been brought to the attention of the U.S. Secret Service.

Fonda, who seems very uneasy about the situation involving family separation at the southern border, took to social media early this morning to propose that Barron Trump, the young son of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, should be thrown in a cage with pedophiles. read more

Tender Age Shelters and Adult Virtue Signaling

The U.S. has perhaps the most generous immigration policies on the planet, and when combined with an unsecured border, makes all the current virtual signaling, selective outrage, and hyperbole about separating families at the border so tedious and phony. America has a big heart for those in need, making any comparison to concentration camps disgusting.  The situation at the border is chaotic and tragic to be sure; the government has now opened what it calls tender-age shelters for infants and toddlers. There is talk that President Trump may issue an executive order to minimize family separation. read more

Is the ESPN Morning Show ‘Get Up’ Down for the Count?

ESPN’s much-hyped morning show Get Up (which oddly has an exclamation point in its official title) appears to be a failure to date.

The program backed by an extensive publicity campaign premiered on April 2 as a replacement for the traditional a.m. SportsCenter and has struggled in the ratings since then.  It features principal host Mike Greenberg along with co-hosts Michelle Beadle and ex-NBA player Jalen Rose, who broadcast from an expensive new studio in lower Manhattan in New York City rather than from the so-called Worldwide Leader’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn. ESPN is paying the trio about $15 million in combined salary. read more
