Biden Classified Document Scandal Is ‘Not a Crime When He Does it’?

That Joe Biden is embroiled in a scandal involving the alleged mishandling of classified documents is yet another example of how Democrats have shamelessly turned projection into performance art.

During his January 10 broadcast, Fox News host Tucker Carlson summed up the progressive narrative pushing, if not gaslighting, quite well:

They always accuse you of the very things they’re doing themselves. If there is one rule you can keep on your fridge, write down, put it in your wallet, to evaluate the behavior of the people in charge, it’s that. They blame you for their sins every single time. The latest example arrived this week when we learned that Joe Biden, fresh from lecturing us about that Donald Trump is a ‘criminal’ because he had unauthorized possession of secret documents — that very same Joe Biden himself had unauthorized possession secret documents.

But don’t worry; It’s not a big deal. Unlike you or that ‘despicably orange’ Donald Trump, Joe Biden is a good person. Joe Biden is so virtuous he is transcended temporal law. It’s not a crime when he does it. So that’s the frustratingly familiar headline from this week’s story which you’ve probably seen by now…”

Later in the show, New York Times reporter Miranda Devine, an expert on Biden family wheeling and dealing, similarly pointed out that “It just looks like projection from Joe Biden, doesn’t it? As usual, it’s the Democrats’ tool of trade, to accuse their opponents of the very sin they are committing. It’s a little obvious in this case now…”

According to one dictionary definition, projection is “the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself.”

The situation is reminiscent about the old joke about liberals that if it wasn’t for double standards, they wouldn’t have standards at all.

Under political pressure, AG Merrick Garland, a so-called moderate who Obama wanted to put on the Supreme Court, has appointed a special counsel to “investigate” the Biden document scandal. He has, of course, already appointed one to investigate Trump.

Although this is obviously a developing story, Margot Cleveland of The Federalist put the hypocrisy in a larger perspective:

Since August of 2022, when the FBI launched an unprecedented raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, the entirety of the anti-Trump universe insisted — insisted — that the recently departed commander-in-chief’s possession of documents marked classified was a big f-ing deal.

Never mind that Trump had declassification authority as the president of the United States, or that the documents were stored at his home under the watchful eye of his Secret Service protection….

The Biden classified documents scandal is not a serious scandal. The botched withdrawal from Afghanistan is a serious scandal. Biden’s refusal to faithfully execute his duties as president of the United States by securing the southern border is a serious scandal…

Laughable. Delicious. Outrageous. It is all those things and becomes more so by the day, with news that more classified documents are reposed in a residential garage, in addition to the closet at a D.C. think tank. And the story just becomes funnier the more the corrupt press tries to distinguish Biden’s possession of classified documents from Trump’s because Biden himself on video declared the possession of classified documents in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home to be “just totally irresponsible.”

But a garage, Joe? Seriously?.. The bottom line here is simple. This entire scandal is a joke. And now, thanks to the get-Trump franchise, irresponsible Biden will be forever cast as a laughingstock — and so will the propagandists in the press.

Parenthetically, you may like or dislike Trump on the basis of his personality, his hair, or his spray tan, but America was undeniably in a much better place when he was in office, even given that he went along with awful advice from his COVID advisors and others.

Personnel is policy as the saying goes, and it is obvious that Trump made some dreadful hires during his presidency.

Moreover, while Carlson likes to satirically quip about the “bad orange man” to mock Trump detractors, if orange was actually bad, abut 75 percent of the performers in the entertainment media, the LARPers in the news media, and those clout chasers in the social media influencer cohort would be out of business.

Expect this to be forever investigated for like about two months, but the investigation will turn out to be a white washing.
The Democrats will use this as their main defense of an impeachment.
The Republicans will impeach on multiple accounts, border insecurity, Afghanistan, transportation foul ups, outrageous spending, but the Democrat Senate won’t convict on any of them and the secret papers in the garage will be the big campaign issue, distracting from the real problems, and paving a way for re-election like the Newt Gingrich impeachment of Clinton, which resulted in Clinton being re-elected.
