Ever watch a movie that was a lot better in your memory than what it actually is as confirmed by a second viewing?
Trying to find something to watch on Netflix is often a challenge when you exclude any content that is pushing what the Critical Drinker calls “the message,” so sometimes you have to default to an oldie on the streaming platform.
With its presence on the Netflix top-10 list, you might be considering adding The Killer to your Thanksgiving weekend watch list.
The streamer’s capsule summary is as follows: “After a fateful near miss, an assassin battles his employers — and himself — on an international hunt for retribution he insists isn’t personal.”
For the first hour and a half or so of Fair Play, you’re probably going to wonder where the filmmaker is going with all this — in a good way.
The whodunit Reptile is currently trending on Netflix.
The tagline for the newly released movie directed by Grant Singer is as follows: “A hardened detective uncovers a complex web of deception as he digs for truth behind the brutal murder of a young real estate agent.”
In a concise manner, the TikTok video embedded below from Christopher Claflin pretty much says it all about the mostly mediocre fare available across the over-saturated, subscription-based streaming universe including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Disney+ and even as user-generated content on YouTube (even given its censorship regimen) and elsewhere continues to grow in popularity.
According to Outkick reporter David Hookstead, the“must-watch” Out-laws is, among other things, an “incredibly fun” comedy and “wildly entertaining.”
The Netflix summary of Faithfully Yours, a Dutch production set in Belgium, is “using each other as alibis, two friends sneak off to indulge in secret affairs — but their elaborate web of lies unravels when one of them goes missing.”
As of this writing, Beef is on the Netflix top-10 list for TV shows in the U.S.

MM2 is the sequel to the first Murder Mystery in 2019 (which seems like yesterday). Both are part of the exclusive content deal between Netflix and Adam Sandler’s prolific Happy Madison Productions.
