Many are wondering why Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team indicted 12 Russian intelligence officials in the immediate aftermath of the Peter Strozk testimony and on the eve of President Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.

It wouldn’t be the first lawsuit that was rushed out for public relations purposes, but this obviously has massive ramifications for the U.S. presidency rather than, say, a dispute by a celebrity over an employment contract.

Moreover, U.S. courts have no jurisdiction over Russian citizens, and it would seem very unlikely that any extradition will take place.

It gets worse, though. U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes told FNC’s Maria Bartiromo this morning that Mueller’s prosecutors seem to have lifted most of the info from a previously published (and media maligned) House Intelligence Committee Report.

Nunes added, however, that Mueller omitted from legal papers that the Russians targeted Republicans as well as Democrats.

Unfortunately, if past is prologue, it is very likely that another substance-free, Russia-collusion indictment will drop immediately before the November 2018 midterm elections.

Whether you love or hate President Trump, you must have noticed by now, moreover, that any time there are developments favorable to the Trump administration in the news cycle, some Russia-probe-related material gets rushed out by the Deep State (whether via leak or through “official” channels)  so that the media can gullible, lazy mainstream maintain the false narrative.

There are no allegations of campaign collusion in the indictment.

On a historical, Russia-obsessed Democrats were generally AWOL during the Cold War against the former Soviet Union. The left and the media also seem to be indifferent about the meddling by China, which hacked the U.S. government in 2015 and is expanding its economic, political, and military tentacles all over the world.

Parenthetically, with all the Justice Department officials who have been called to testify on Capitol Hill in connection with election-related investigations, wouldn’t it be more than reasonable for Congress to require Mueller to explain why all, or virtually all of his prosecutors are Democrats with ties to Obama and Hillary Clinton?

According to The Conservative Treehouse, given the ongoing Department of JusTIice stonewalling, three actual purposes of the Mueller probe include the following.

“To protect the activity of the corrupt Obama and Clinton teams, and all officials therein, in 2015 and 2016. i.e. hide the 2015/2016 use of FBI/NSA database metadata exploitation for political opposition research; and hide the 2016/2017 weaponization therein (‘the insurance policy’).'”

Although neither party covered themselves with glory during the testimony by sanctimonious FBI official Strzok on Thursday, this was one of the more interesting exchanges.
