Kimberly Guilfoyle officially announced on Twitter earlier today that she has left the Fox News Channel to take the position of vice chairwoman of the America First political action committee.

News broke on Friday that the network star and FNC were abruptly parting ways despite a contract extension that she signed in June 2017.

In that role, she will be campaigning across the country for the Trump MAGA agenda especially in the run-up to the November midterm elections.

The glamorous Guilfoyle, who is dating Donald Trump Jr., called it a bitter-sweet moment and expressed appreciation to the Fox family.

As of yesterday, Guilfoyle’s Twitter page still listed her as co-host of The Five, the high-rated political ensemble roundtable.  Perhaps she was waiting for the severance check — which perhaps also includes a waiver of legal claims and a nondisparagement agreement —  to clear? Her web page is currently off line.

While some news outlets claimed that the sudden separation was involuntary, a insider supposedly told The Daily Caller otherwise.

“Fox has known for a while that she was planning on moving to the America First PAC and her leaving Fox is 100-percent voluntary. She is very excited about her new challenge and is appreciative that she had a great run with Fox News.”

As this blog noted on Friday, KG’s exit is a big loss for fans of Fox News as well as to the irreverent chemistry of The Five.
