Live PD will not air tonight or Saturday evening on the A&E Network.
In a statement, A&E explained:
“Out of respect for the families of George Floyd and others who have lost their lives, in consultation with the departments we follow, and in consideration for the safety of all involved, we have made the decision not to broadcast Live PD this weekend.”
If aired, Friday and Saturday’s editions would have been the show’s 299th and 300th episodes. Presumably the producers had prepared specific content for that milestone before the Minneapolis police misconduct incident occurred.
Live Rescue will air instead.

Probably a Good Idea but be mindful that without you showing us the truth we wouldn’t even know what goes on despite the aura of Racism . Is it an accurate depiction of what law enforcement faces on a daily basis? Most of us that watch are horrified of the prospect of you cops not being there. I think if we go the way of community policing these same people will not like the way they are treated by a population that sees them as the problem.

Any police protesting in favor of it? Where are all those in favor of dirty air or water, and animal cruelty? Erring on the side of caution is smart. The lives of the crews and officers are the most important issue. This is the saddest time in American history in my 75 years. The effect it is having on children (under the age of understanding) will reverberate for decades. They are absorbing all of this hatred against police and anyone who isn’t black, disregard of the laws of our country, and lack of common sense and decency.

Live PD doesn’t help the anti police narrative. It show the other side of the story that isn’t being discussed. That is what the police are faced with and have to deal with on a daily basis. Suspects that resist, run and fight. Officers put their lives on the line to protect all of us from crime and those that perpetrate it. Police officers need our support and thanks. Bad cops or those making really bad decisions will be dealt with through the courts. The violent anarchy we are witnessing hurts the very cause the peaceful demonstrators are fighting for.
I agree this hurts the communities that are being destroyed. That communities that all races live in.

This has gone way to far in my opinion. I’m not condoning what the cop did. He was in the wrong with that said not every black is a thug not every white is a racist and not every cop is bad. Stoping this show and others is not saying much about the world we live in. What’s next terrorist decide hey they protested so let’s do something so we can get what we want. I apologize for nothing on this as we need to stop giving into I might offend someone. Honestly us babying this new generation is the reason we have spoiled brats that think they know what they are talking about and throw fits when they don’t get their way…

Okay I dont agree with this decision. First off you are canceling a show for a common criminal just because there are riots everywhere? You really think this is going to solve anything? This was a good show based off people who risk there lives every single day. They put on there uniforms and kiss there children not knowing if that will be the last day to do so. I DO NOT in any way condone the cop that murdered George Floyd, but come on really… He did wrong by passing a fake bill to buy cigarettes. He knew it was fake it wasnt a I’m sorry my bad. The officers were then told he was intoxicated and belligerent. Now did he resist and deserve to be restrained? Hell yes he did. He refused to get into the squad car claiming to be claustrophobic. Really??? Floyd has been to prison on multiple charges. Everyone can look that up its public record. And everyone wants to make him out to be a saint. He wasnt a saint. He was a menace to sociaty. The only reason this is getting the attention it is is because he is black. Can you all honestly tell me if it was a white man it would get the attention it is now? Hell no! The correct response would be what did he do? No one would care. You know I watched a black man the other day that stated and I qoute black lives matter and I agree. But when do black lives matter to us? He was so dead on. I mean even in the riots today black men are killing each other. I mean really? You all want to protest and make change? Start doing it in your own neighborhoods. When you see a dead black man in the streets you have a 85% chance it was in the hands of another black man. I wont go into detail on his crimes but some are very disturbing and you all are raising him up like he is Martin Luther King. I know there are good cops and crooked cops. Just like there are good guys and bad guys. I tell you what lets not let there be police for 7 days and see what happens. I happen to think that another, perhaps primary reason the show was cancelled is because there were noticeably more blacks being arrested than whites. Well, that’s the way it happens to be. It’s a reality. Blacks commit more crime for their numbers than do whites. I’m a liberal, I support Black lives matter, but I don’t think

I think live PD showed what’s it’s like out there. It’s not always pretty and they’re dealing with some pretty crazy, unlawful people. Of all colours. I don’t see anything I would deem as police abuse on live pd.
I understand why you are not broadcasting live PD at this time. I have enjoyed watching this show and have become hooked. I have enjoyed watching the different departments work. I think all departments with whom you have shown have shown the utmost respect to all the suspects involved and are a great example on how all police departments should function. I have a lot of respect for the police and your show proves that point. At a time like this i think you should not stop broadcasting and keep on doing what needs to be done. Shining a light on great police work. All of your departments that you broadcast on your show are respectful and that point needs to keep being put out there. I am a 42 year old woman and am greatly sorry of the past i never lived in. But with that being said im am tired of being labeled a racist and my white husband and son being labeled a racist when we never lived in that part of society. You cant move on in the best country on earth if you blame us for something we had no control over. I am so tired of having to feel like i have to apologize for being white. I am not sorry im white. Im sorry that someday i so hope Republicans will start playing the same game democrats do. Protest riots looting, throwing eggs in womans faces hurting reporters just trying to report the truth. So I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. One of the number one demands from local protestors has been the cancellation of Tulsa’s contract with Live PD and now, the contract has been terminated. As a 43 year old white male, I’m looking to understand why that was a demand.
For me, this show has made me more sensitive to the plight of African Americans in our society. How is taking the spotlight off of the rampant crime that plagues those communities going to help the needed change? Is change from within those communities not needed? Evil lives in the dark.
Makes no sense, cancel a great show like Live P.D. but keep airing Gangland and other shows that glorify drugs and murder. Freaking crazy. Democrats are ruining this fine country we live in. People need to remember it was the southern Democrats that had slaves and jim crow laws. It was the Republican north that put an end to it. They like to lie and say the sides switched in the 60’s but we all know that isn’t true. The right wing needs to start playing by the lefts rules and take this country back!!!
Live P.D shows what the police have to face every day. The disrespect, vulgar names in their face , spit at, shot at, and the police are always to blame according to the crooks. How many people do you know who could put up with that on a daily basis and still treat the crooks with respect. Doesn’t matter what race you are there’s good and bad out there. You go out and protest but why don’t these protester go into the problem areas and help the police get rid of the gangs, clean up the area so people can feel safe there. Why the looting? Why the fires? Why take our right to watch what we want away? Live P.D. is a great show and I would like to see it come back . Shame on the network for doing this . Wake up people you see our right taken away from us and the Democrats pushing the race card .
