The Republicans have a lot of explaining to do. Among other issues, the Iraq War was a disaster, they failed to cut the federal budget deficit when they controlled Congress, and former House Speaker Paul Ryan didn’t even lift a finger in 2018 to keep the House in GOP hands. He also played games with funding (or non-funding) the border wall.

But the impeachment-obsessed Democrats in the House have failed miserably in their mandate to legislate for the American people (assuming you place your faith in more legislation) even where bipartisan agreement exists. If you want more of the same, vote Democrat in 2020.

The power-hungry Democrats, plus their hypocritical media lapdogs and the self-dealing federal bureaucracy, and sometimes enabled by spineless Republicans, continue to suffer an extreme case of Trump derangement syndrome. As some observers have noted, for the Democrats, post modernism is a secular religion, if not a cult. For them, everything must be politicized. And everything the Democrats seem to ruin everything they touch.

Trump is fulfilling his campaign promise to put America first, and that is obviously unacceptable to the globalists, which includes the crony capitalists.

Remember the good old days when liberals were highly suspicious of, if not antagonistic, toward of the intelligence community?

In fact, it seems the Ukraine whistleblower story (plus the impeachment drumbeat) was rolled out to deflect from the Justice Department investigation of the unconstitutionalorigins of the Russia collusion hoax.

As Legal Insurrection recalls, various media outlets predicted that the federal bureaucracy would “resist” Trump. As Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist wrote in January 2017 about the Russia collusion scheme, “Far from discrediting Trump, it paints a worrisome portrait of the deep state gone rogue, desperate to stop a man who, whatever his considerable flaws, is an outsider to Washington.”

Whether it’s his hair, spray tan, his blustery personality, and his at-times crass, needlessly inflammatory, or too-vague comments, the globalist media-Democrat complex has gone completely unhinged with Donald Trump in the White House. This includes all the brain-addled, now-antagonistic celebrities who loved hanging out with Trump while he was a real estate mogul and reality TV star.

Social media platforms that artificially inflate or boost anti-Trump hashtags or information, while suppression or censoring the opposite, are also part of this cabal.

Parenthetically, the U.K. version of the Deep State is similarly trying to undermine Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s attempt to implement Brexit. Are the pending corruption charges against Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a manifestation of that country’s Deep State, too?

Whatever the cause of Trump derangement syndrome, carrying some much hate in their hearts can’t be healthy.

Admittedly, sometime Trump creates needless feuds that obscures the administration’s accomplishments, as Laura Ingraham noted in Capitol File: “On numerous occasions I have contended that there’s no need for the president to swing at every pitch, to hit back at every criticism. While I understand the temptation, it’s just not productive and ends up obscuring the many positive results he’s delivered for the American people.”

A former Democrat and independent, Trump has, however, taught the GOP how to fight back against the bias, including those shameless media pundits who have done a 180 in their political views for a paycheck.

The Democrats have weaponized politics with, for example, a Russian collusion witch hunt, and when that hoax failed, they move on to Ukrainegate.

The latter is based on a hearsay complaint (which is an abrupt change in government procedure) that many observers contend was written by an army of anti-Trump ambulance chasers.

Bottom line: It’s all political theater. Whether you are a fan not, Corey Lewandowski was on target when he declared earlier this month during a contentious Capitol Hill hearing that Democrats “hate this president more than they love this country.”

As an aside, think for a minute about all the anti-Trump stories the self-righteous media has been forced to stealth correct, retract, and/pr clarify because they were based on sketchy leaks or outright falsehoods. On almost every of these occasions, the media derives the worst inferences or draws the most negative conclusions about Trump even a story seems on its face seems hardly genuine.

You may have noticed that whenever a positive development occurs for the Trump administration, the media will breathlessly rush out with a planted story that fits in with their devious narrative.

The Ukraine whistle-blower news broke, for example, around the time Trump delivered an address at the United Nations and amid positive approval ratings for the president.

The media also pretends they don’t understand when Trump is joking or just trolling them.

Ironically, the Democrats wanted Ukraine to investigate Trump, and of course, everyone knows how then-VP Joe Biden, a.k.a. Quid Pro Joe, used foreign aid leverage to quash a corruption investigation into his son. As usual, the Democrats accuse their foes of doing the things they are actually doing.

In yet another perceptive column, historian Victor Davis Hanson describes the repetitive, far-left modus operandi and its selective outrage:

“After nearly three years of this, we know the delivery system that ensues. Along with the sensationalized initial media hype, the promised ‘smoking gun’ leak usually follows. But when the ‘overwhelming’ evidence or ‘walls are closing in’ documents are released, there is no criminal act to be found other than occasional art-of-the-deal bluster from Trump. And then on to the next crude coup attempt… Lost in the conundrum is the reality that no president in recent memory has been so investigated, audited, sued, and examined as Trump without finding evidence of criminal behavior… Any president has a perfect right to tell a foreign head of state and recipient of major U.S. aid that his corruption-plagued country has played a destabilizing but still murky role in recent American elections and in scandals that have affected the American people, and in particular the current president of the United States — and that it would be a good thing to get to the bottom of it… That Biden is now a Democratic front-runner does not provide immunity or excuse the fact that he was vice president of the United States tasked with Ukrainian affairs when his problem-plagued son, without any energy or foreign-policy experience, made a great deal of money for apparently nothing more than lending his Biden name to benefit a corrupt Ukrainian-Russian-related company. Nor should we overlook that Joe Biden threatened to cut off U.S. aid — $1 billion — to Ukraine if it did not within six hours fire the too-curious prosecutor who was looking into the mess…

“And now the Ukraine chapter. In between all these maneuvers, we have witnessed mass hysterias of Stormy! Tax Returns! Recession! Racism! along with the Covington Kids and Kavanaugh 1.0 and 2.0 manias.. and the constant celebrity and media effort to compete over the best way of metamorphically burning up, shooting, decapitating, beating up, stabbing, dismembering, or caging the president…

“These episodes are not just designed to drive down polls or crowd out coverage of real achievement on economic growth, energy development, low unemployment, judicial appointments, deregulation, tax reform, and clarity overseas on Iran, China, Russia, and North Korea. They are veritable coups aimed at aborting a presidency before a scheduled election, either out of unhinged hatred for Trump or out of desperation that an extremist counter-agenda, as witnessed in the first three Democratic debates, is apt to turn off most voters…

“And, even if impeached, Trump will be perceived, rightly or wrongly, as growing stronger for enduring ever shriller and more monotonous attacks. “

The Democrats loathe the Constitution, seek to undermine the rule of law, want open borders, seek to install economy-destroying socialism, accuse others of science denying yet advocate a belief in more than two genders, and play the race card at every opportunity.

If you support those radical policies, by all means vote Democrat. But potential Democrat voters need to ask themselves how does this agenda unify the country and encourage cohesiveness and prosperity?

Under the influence of the Murdoch bros, Fox News seems to be moving in a liberal direction, which seems to be an effective way to run the network’s market share. Former Never Trumper Mark Levin, however, went off on the president’s legislative and media foes in a Fox & Friends clip that went viral:

On the state level, middle-class people are fleeing blue states when they can. A high-tax, anti-business environment has caused a population shift to red states (although why do some newcomers vote Democrat after they get there?). California, for example, is being destroyed by sanctuary city policies and rampant homelessness. Sanctuary city policies have also increased crime in other states.

It’s hard to say how this impeachment obsession will shake out in the context of public opinion. It could galvanize Trump’s base as Victor Davis Hanson suggests, but it could also encourage the anti-Trump vote (including college students who can’t come up with a reason why Trump should be impeached) to show up in 2020 in a big way. The Democrats have vote fraud working for them too.

If you’re an apolitical person, as many reasonably are, misleading headlines about the president’s phone call transcript or many other issues, could have an impact, unfortunately. It’s also a good reason to avoid watching Tragedy TV during one of these news cycle feeding frenzies.

At this point, even if a GOP candidate at the federal or state level is a stumblebum with a bad comb over, it seems too risky to vote for any Democrat if you believe in free speech, the rule of law, free markets, and simply are a law-abiding citizen who wants the government to leave you alone.
