On Patrol: Live Tonight
It was a particular hectic night for Toledo, Ohio, PD on this episode of On Patrol: Live.
#OPLive host Dan Abrams: “[Toledo] Officers Torbet and Sawicki are getting all the ‘best’ calls today.”
See below for details on all 25 law enforcement encounters across 10 scheduled police departments in this On Patrol: Live episode guide, although the Colton, Calif., PD did not appear during the show and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office barely made it in time at the end.
Scheduling note: On Patrol: Live is in re-runs over the July 4th holiday weekend. The next set of fresh episodes should constitute the season premiere of #OPLive Season 5. Host Dan Abrams did not make any reference to either the end of Season 4 and the upcoming beginning of Season 5, however, so further clarification in this context may emerge later.

On Patrol: Live Recap for June 27, 2026 (#OPL Episode 04-90)

- Green County, Mo. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Tracking speeding vehicles.” In the video clip below, Detective Travis Sanders initiates a traffic stop on one of the cars and explains his reasoning in the video clip below. Deputy Jonah Beadles is also on scene. During the stop, the driver discusses his backstory with the deputies. The motorist ends up getting released with a warning.
Det. Sanders summary: “After a little conversation, he calmed down. He understands why he was stopped, and that it is not a harassment thing. It’s that his behavior thing. So hopefully, he learns from it, and maybe follows his PO suggestion and get rid of that car and go for a minivan.”
- Baton Rouge, La. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of assault.” Officer Christopher Coleman responds to the scene where a subject allegedly threw at chair at another responding officer at a residence. Numerous cops subdue the non-compliant suspect and carry him into a squad car. Paramedics on scene to treat the victim. On Patrol: Live caption: “Suspect in custody.”

Listen below to Officer Coleman’s recap:

- Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of drinking in public.” Officers Kaleb Torbet and John Sawicki make contact with a male outside a store and gives him a warning. Officer Torbet: “If you are caught drinking out in public again, and I’m the one that catches you, I’ll take you to jail…that’s disorderly conduct, and you will be arrested…I would recommend, leave the customers and patrons alone…”
Listen below to Officer Torbet’s recap:
- Tempe, Ariz. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of shoplifting.” Officer Kate Anaradian makes contact with a loquacious female in store parking lot. While on scene, the shoplifting investigation switches over to a separate fender-bender accident investigation.
Listen below to Officer Anaradain recap both incidents including that two individuals involved in the alleged shoplifting, which is still under investigation, allegedly have warrants which may or may not be extraditable, and far as the accident is concerned, local cops generally only facilitate an information exchange rather than write a report when it occurs in private parking lot. Some studio banter follows:
- Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of naked woman throwing rocks.” Officers Torbet and Sawicki, and other units, make contact with an older female. On Patrol: Live caption: “Investigating stone streaker.” The patient officers warn the woman about “no more throwing stones, no more being naked…and no more going to Walmarts…” They advise her to leave the location. “Go somewhere else.”
On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams: “I guess it’s another way of getting rocks off.”
Officer Torbet recap: “…we were told that she was naked. The way that obscenity laws work in Ohio, we have to be able to see it, or on video, or something along those lines. Do I believe that she was butt naked, throwing rocks at the wall? One hundred percent — the way she was acting. But she’s been told to go. She’s gotta leave. If she does anything else to draw attention to herself, she’s gonna go over to the jail, and we’ll go from there. But hopefully, she leaves, and we’ll be able to go on to the next thing.”
- Clayton County, Ga. (pre-recorded segment) — Lieutenant Jonathan Carey and Deputy Desmond Whitson make a traffic stop at gunpoint on an alleged wrong-way driver. Weed and and alcohol allegedly found as well as supposedly jail shoes and a jail blanket. The driver is arrested; the car is impounded. Listen below for some banter in the #OPLive studio: Tom Rizzo: “You get bologna and a blanket.”
- Richland County, S.C. — Master Deputy Andreona Sanders makes brief contact with a female at residence on a report of a missing person. It turns that the husband has returned home, and all is well. Deputy Sanders: “Apparently he was insulted by the fact that she thought he was lost, so we’re just glad that he’s home safe, and she’s not worried about him anymore.” #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “I think there are a lot of people out there who have partners who golf who feel like…they have a missing person because of the number of hours spent golfing.” #OPLive studio analyst Sean Larkin: “It’s a slow sport.” #OPLive studio analyst Tom Rizzo: “I think it’s sweet that she reported him missing. At least she wants him back.”
- Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of drunk roommate.” Officers Torbet and Sawicki respond to the scene and make contact with the complainant. #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “This woman’s sister lives in this house, but her sister’s in the hospital. There’s a guy in the house that she’s concerned about. She’s taken the kid out of the house, but she’s concerned about the guy there.” After an investigation, Officer Sawicki explains, among other things, that once a subject has established residency, it becomes a civil matter requiring an eviction. They also intend to ask the subject to leave voluntarily at least for the night. The complainant(s) are apparently most concerned about the subject’s proximity to their nephew. Cops come up with what appears to be a temporary solution.
Listen below to Officer Torbet’s summary:
On Patrol: Live Hour 2
- Triple Play #3 — In Clayton County, Ga., Deputy Bryant Ferguson, a trained crisis negotiator, responds to the scene where a woman was threatening to jump off a highway overpass.
- Fullerton, Calif. — Officers Tyler Rodgers and Ricky Akles make contact with three young men outside a shopping plaza on a report of some sort of alleged vandalism. Bleeping. After a pat-down, and a review of some video, the trio is released. In a light-hearted moment, Officer Akles wins a foot-race with one of them in the parking lot. In the #OPLive studio, analyst Sean Larkin points out that Akles prevailed even while wearing about 25 pounds of gear.
- BOLO segment — the NYPD is looking for a group of boutique smash and grabbers:
- Greene County, Mo. — Det. Sanders tracks a large group of motorcyclists, at least one of whom is popping wheelies on the road. Det. Sanders decides against chasing the latter for safety reasons. He pulls over one of the other motorcycles, however, which turns out to be unregistered a possibly no motorcycle endorsement on his license. In the video clip below, the cooperative, operator is released with a warning. On Patrol: Live studio analyst Sean Larkin: “…so there were lots of traffic violations. He was polite to the officer despite what his buddies were doing. And the officer gave him a verbal warning and sent him home.” Abrams: “He says they weren’t even buddies…”
- Tempe, Ariz. (pre-recorded segment) — In the video clip below, the bike squad responds to a physical altercation and arrests a male and a female on scene:
Dan Abrams: “A lot of the time in these domestic violence cases, you say ‘these people just need to find somebody else.’ In this case, these two seem pretty good together.” Tom Rizzo: “‘Remember that night we both got hog tied?'” Sean Larkin: “That’s a Tuesday for Dan.”
- Toledo, Ohio — Detectives Jeff Milum and Mychael Mcanich on a friendly traffic stop. Alleged weed odor. Car search. Some weed allegedly found in the car is confiscated. The two occupants are subsequently released. Weed

- Toledo, Ohio — Officers Torbet and Sawicki make contact with a man, age 20, who was allegedly jumped by a group of assailants. “What are you doing hanging out with a bunch of kids? You’re a grown-ass man.” #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “They got a lot of questions about this, right?…which are gonna have to remain unanswered for now…”
On Patrol: Live Hour 3
- Knox County, Tenn. (pre-recorded segment) — Officer Tyler Thoman and other units respond to a 911 call from a woman allegedly being attacked by a male while riding in what #OPLive studio analyst Tom Rizzo describes as a “rolling domestic.” Police initially detain the male in the truck. He is subsequently arrested.
Listen below to Officer Thoman’s recap followed by commentary from the studio panel:
- Henry County, Va. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Searching for probation violator.” Deputy Brooke Mason and another unit are on scene at a residence and make contact with several persons on scene about the whereabouts of the subject. Deputy Mason seems convinced that the subject is in the basement and considers applying for search warrant in the absence of a consent to search. Deputy Mason to a man at the home, who may not be the actual owner, who declines consent: “I’m gonna be straight up. I feel like your bullsh*tting me, and I know you’re bullsh*tting me. Is she in your house?” The subject, who allegedly has two outstanding warrants, appears to eventually come out and is detained.
Listen below as LEO analystTom Rizzo in the On Patrol: Live studio discusses the legal parameters in this kind of scenario:
- Richland County, S.C. — Specialist O’Shaughnessy makes a traffic stop on a vehicle that allegedly may have previously fled from police. The driver is detained; consensual car search. Dan Abrams update: “The guy was cited for reckless driving and released, but the vehicle was towed because of that citation.”
Listen below to Specialist O’Shaughnessy’s preliminary assessment of the situation:
- Greene County, Mo. (prerecorded segment) — In the video clip below, Deputy Ed Vasey conducts a traffic stop on a truck and ends up arresting the two occupants. Dan Abrams introduces the segment by asserting that “passenger insisted that Deputy Vasey’s questions were unwarranted. The operative word: warrant.”
- Toledo, Ohio — Offices Torbet and Sawicki respond to some kind of disturbance possibly involving a phone and make contact with the parties in a parking lot. On Patrol: Live caption: “Call me maybe?” A male on scene is arrested for alleged warrants.
Officer Sawicki: “Sounds like nobody can just get along, and sounds like that the goal for today.”
- Clayton County, Ga. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Searching for robbery vehicle.” In the video clips below, Deputy Devon Brown and Lt. Carey make a traffic stop at gunpoint on the apparent subject vehicle. On Patrol: Live caption: “Felony quote.” The incident turns out to involve alleged shoplifting instead, however, and the store apparently declines to press charges. The subjects are released.
- Henry County, Va. — Deputy Mason makes contact with several cooperative females in a parking lot in connection with alleged underage drinking. “Throw it away.”
- Dorchester County, S.C. — As the episode concludes, Lieutenant Michael Contino makes friendly contact with the hot dog stand guy from Friday night in the video clip below. On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams: “It looks like he’s got the set up…where are the hot dogs? That’s the question.”
