NBC News Gives Megyn Kelly 30 Million Reasons to Leave

News broke on Friday night that NBC News and Megyn Kelly have officially parted ways, with the erstwhile Today show host reportedly exiting with the balance owed on her three-year contact, totaling about $30 million. Without providing any details, NBC said in a statement that “The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC.” The network took Kelly off the air in late October after the host’s controversial Halloween blackface comments (despite her two apologies). Her lawyer and the network were negotiating the severance package ever since. The agreement reportedly contains a confidentiality clause. read more

NBC Will Pay Megyn Kelly a Fortune to Go Away and Keep Quiet: Report

NBC has reportedly agreed to write a huge severance check to Megyn Kelly, but the sticking point between the TV network and her lawyer in the deal involves negotiations over a non-disclosure clause or confidentiality agreement.

Kelly probably would love to dish in public on her behind-the-scenes experiences with the Today show franchise after the paperwork is signed in the same way that her book tour for Settle for More was seemingly planned an anti-Trump victory lap. Donald Trump thwarted that by winning the presidency.

It remains to be seen if NBC will impose what might amount to a gag order on her in exchange for the lucrative contract settlement.

Various news outlets claim that the network has already agreed to a  $30 million payout to the

Happening Today: NBC News Ends ‘Megyn Kelly Today’ After Controversy

https://youtu.be/_5qdq8Gdfcw

Megyn Kelly Today is about to become yesterday’s news.

NBC News has cancelled the 9 a.m. Eastern time hour of the Today show franchise known as Megyn Kelly Today. Fortunately, staffers for that Today time slot will apparently continue to have jobs moving forward under a new host or hosts.

As the entire universe knows by now, Kelly got into hot water this week with the Halloween-blackface comments. Given the flat ratings for her NBC platform, the TV network may have seized the moment to cut ties with her.

The outcome may have been a combination of bad judgment and bad ratings, with NBC opportunistically getting rid of the opportunist.

Kelly’s new attorney — who maintains at this time that she is still an NBC employee —  is currently negotiating how much cash she’ll take with her from her three-year, $69 million contract. Kelly no longer has an agent, having parted ways with the high-profile CAA group.

Nonetheless, multimillionaire Megyn Kelly has amassed generational wealth as media pundit.

Regardless of the outcome of the settlement, no one will ever have to hold a bake sale for the former Fox News Channel anchor who helped bring down the late Roger Ailes, the ex-FNC CEO, over sexual harassment allegations.

Jumping on the #MeToo bandwagon as an opportunistic way to bring in viewers to Megyn Kelly Today which premiered in September 2017, Kelly was also vocal in her criticism of how NBC handled the Matt Lauer sexual harassment accusations and has implied that she has some dirt on Lauer, which can’t have pleased her network overlords.

Kimberly Guilfoyle Confirms Departure from Fox News and Reveals New Job

Kimberly Guilfoyle officially announced on Twitter earlier today that she has left the Fox News Channel to take the position of vice chairwoman of the America First political action committee.

News broke on Friday that the network star and FNC were abruptly parting ways despite a contract extension that she signed in June 2017.

In that role, she will be campaigning across the country for the Trump MAGA agenda especially in the run-up to the November midterm elections.

Former @FoxNews host @kimguilfoyle announced her new role as the Vice Chairwoman of nonprofit organization America First after leaving the conservative news outlet last week.https://t.co/I3c5i8g60w pic.twitter.com/3WyuqCsN9V read more

Kimberly Guilfoyle Is Reportedly Exiting Fox News to Campaign for President Trump

Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle is leaving the Fox News Channel according to various news outlets. There is some question as to whether it is voluntary or involuntary, however.

The popular and charismatic co-host of The Five, where she occupies the so-called leg chair, Kimberly Guilfoye is set to join a pro-President Trump political action committee.

This is a big loss for the network if the reports are accurate, but so far, no one has gone on the record with any official confirmation. A separation package is supposedly being negotiated.

The feisty Guilfoyle, a former California prosecutor who worked at ABC News, Court TV, and CNN before joining FNC in January 2006, was rumored to be under consideration as President Trump’s press secretary, but she signed a longtime contract with the network in June 2017.

In addition to supporting his agenda, Guilfoyle seems to share the president’s love of fast food, as regular Five viewers are aware.

Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle Share July 4th Instagram Pics

Donald Trump Jr. and Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle are officially a couple judging by these images from July 4th at the White House that they shared on Instagram.

Wonder if “KG,” as her FNC colleagues call her, will be able to bring scoops from the administration to the table on The Five, the ensemble show that she co-hosts that airs weekdays at 5 p.m.  Eastern time. There is also, of course, an implication of a conflict of interest, but before another bout of manufactured outrage occurs, they would hardly be the first “power couple” in politics and journalism, although this one is arguably more high profile.

Trish Regan Can Sing

To commemorate the Fourth of July, Fox Business Network/Fox News Channel host Trish Regan tweeted out videos of her rendition of both the National Anthem and “America the Beautiful.”

“Regan recorded the anthem for her kids, who had never heard her sing it before,” The Daily Caller noted.

Every time I sing the #NationalAnthem, I'm reminded how lucky I am to have been born in this great country. I know we have our differences, but let us never forget the sacrifice so many have made to ensure that we have the #FREEDOM to voice those differences. CNN can’t even compete with HGTV or Nickelodeon

The CNN business decision to go 24/7 anti-Trump has not paid off in the ratings. Apparently President Donald Trump foes including those with Trump Derangement Syndrome have concluded that MSNBC is a more credible option.

From The Daily Caller:

“Fox News marked its 66th consecutive quarter as the most-watched cable television network as rival CNN failed to top even Home and Garden Network and the Discovery Channel…MSNBC finished second in total viewers behind Fox and third in primetime behind Fox and TNT, which received a major boost from the NBA playoffs. Meanwhile, CNN sat at tenth for primetime behind networks like ESPN, HGTV, Investigation Discovery and History. In total viewers, CNN finished seventh behind Nickelodeon and HGTV, among others.’

RATINGS ARE IN!@FoxNews just marked its 66th consecutive quarter as the number one network in cable television.

Meanwhile, @CNN got beat by a network dedicated to marble countertops and open floor plans. https://t.co/fp3W4hSRCU pic.twitter.com/EdvAIsY0vO read more
