On Patrol: Live Recap for Friday, November 6, 2026 (#OPL Episode 05-29)

OPL stats 11 06 26
  • Tempe, Ariz. — On Patrol: Live caption/banner: “Landlord-tenant dispute.” In the video clip below, Officer Austin Johnson and colleagues respond to the scene where the landlord allegedly shut off the electricity on a tenant. The dispute also apparently involves, in part, discarded, stale Graham crackers. Cops make contact with the tenant, but the landlord apparently is unwilling to speak with them. The dispute appears to be primarily a civil matter. According to Officer Johnson, the tenant agrees to leave the premises temporarily and possibly pursue potential remedies in court.

#OPLive studio host Dan Abrams on what he called the “Graham cracker grudge”: “We were just saying here in studio there’s got to be s’more to this story.”

Listen below to Officer Johnson’s recap:

  • Richland County, S.C. –– Sergeant Tim Riley backs up other deputies on a traffic stop. Four occupants. Vehicle search. The occupants are subsequently released with no charges.

On Patrol: Live studio analyst Sean Larkin explains why deputies found some costume jewelry apparently in a Richland County evidence bag in the car:

  • Idaho Falls, Idaho — On Patrol: Live caption: “Searching for suspect.” Officer Cooper Merrill attempts to serve a citation on a bouncer at a bar in connection with a bar fight. The bouncer is not on the premises, however, having been fired or quit. Police will continue to look for the subject.

On Patrol: Live studio analyst Tom Rizzo reacts to this call: “It carries a criminal offense, but there’s an in-presence requirement for an officer to make an arrest in a case like this. The officer wasn’t there to witness it, so you take both sides of the story, and then issue a citation. It’s almost the same as a motor vehicle ticket, and they have to then appear in court to answer to a lesser…” On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams: “It’s still considered criminal.” Rizzo: “Yeah.”

  • Bernalillo County, N.M. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of disorderly conduct. Deputy Jeshua Reaser and other units respond to a disturbance at a restaurant. They make contact with a possibly “super irate” male on scene who is detained.
  • Berkeley County, S.C. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Refusal to pay tow bill.” In the video clip below, numerous deputies including Corporals Alex Hernandez and Samuel Jasper respond to a disturbance call at a tow yard. Extensive negotiations take place where deputies try to convince the subject to exit the truck and leave the lot before they potentially charge him with trespassing or pay the tow bill in full and drive home in the truck. #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “He seems to think there are three choices when there really are only two.” Ultimately, deputies have to drag the man out of the vehicle and arrest him for trespass.

#OPLive host Dan Abrams: “He seems to think there are three choices when there really are only two.”

Listen below to an incident recap from Cpls. Hernandez and Jasper incident recap which includes a mention that the subject allegedly kicked a sergeant in the face during the struggle followed by commentary from On Patrol: Live studio analysts Tom Rizzo (“…it’s avoidable, and they gave every opportunity to just comply and take it up in civil court if you want to argue about the bill”) and Sean Larkin:

  • Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live caption: “Responding to neighbor dispute.” Officer Chris Mulinix and other cops respond to the scene at an apartment complex over a dispute involving TikTok videos. At one point in the investigation, Officer Mulinix has a contentious exchange with the animated complainant (“…would you shut up?! Good Lord!”…) who ends up not wanting the police to take any action.

Officer Mulinix recap: “So this is between two juveniles making TikToks. They both got frustrated with each other and baited each other. Now the parents are upset, and they’re confronting each other out here, yelling and screaming. She doesn’t want anything done, so I advised her just to stay in her apartment for the night. We’re gonna go talk to this one and see if we can get her to stay in her apartment and leave the whole situation go.”

#OPLive host Dan Abrams: “A good number of calls today that the officers, let’s just say, wouldn’t prioritize if they could choose.” #OPLive studio analyst Sean Larkin: “That is correct; we’d rather be doing some other things.”

  • BOLO Update (Tenn.) and new BOLO segment (Pa.):

On Patrol: Live Hour 2

  • Toledo, Ohio — At the same location, Officer Mulinix and other cops hear an argument; things calm down after police make contact. Officer Mulinix recap: “So while we’re out here on the other call, we observed or heard a lady and a male arguing. Come over here; addressed the issue. One of the parties left and solved the issue, so they’re gonna go back to their birthday party.”
  • Dorchester County, S.C. — Lieutenant Keith Hunt backs up Sergeant Barry Lowe on a traffic stop on an older couple. The stop was prompted by an alleged turn-signal violation. According to Sgt. Lowe, “they’re coming from an area that’s known for narcotics. They’re both saying that there might not be nothing in the car, but the way they’re acting is just not right…” After a lot of questioning by Sgt. Lowe about potentially anything illegal in the car, the female passenger allegedly admits that there is an 8-ball in the car. Probable cause car search. Drugs allegedly found.

Sgt. Lowe to the passenger: “…as long as you’re honest about everything, I’m gonna work with you… I don’t want take you to jail…but I need you to be honest…”

Listen below as Sgt. Lowe further outlines the reasoning for the car stop and the subsequent search:

Listen below to Sgt. Lowe’s follow-up discussion on scene (“…cocaine and crack are the same thing…”) followed by On Patrol: Live studio analyst Tom Rizzo addressing the potential K9 deployment:

  • Tempe, Ariz. — Officer Makenzie Gleave backs up another officer on a DUI investigation. The driver is arrested for suspicion of DUI. Car search. . The DUI officer alleges that the driver is allegedly or potentially “under the influence of an impairing drug. Probably a narcotic of some sort.” The car is towed. A friend is coming to the scene to pick up the female passenger.

(pre-recorded segment) — In the video clip below, Deputy Matthew Lamoureux and several other units respond to the scene where a driver appears to be asleep in his car outside a smoke shop. Listen below to the #OPLive studio panel, including San Francisco 49ers fan Sean Larkin, react to this incident:

  • Richland County, S.C. — Corporal Avery Arrington conducts a traffic stop on a truck for no lights. The driver likely to just receive a warning as long as he can access confirmation that his insurance is valid. Cpl. Arrington mentions that the motorist’s license and registration are good.
  • Baton Rouge, La. — On Patrol: Live captions: “Report of street racing,” “Street racing investigation.” Officer Coleman and colleagues pull over two drivers. Citations issued for drag racing and cars potentially impounded for approximately 15 days.

They also spot a male allegedly huffing nearby. On Patrol: Live caption: “Huffing investigation.” Initially, cops believed the male was not involved but it turns out that he is allegedly connected to the call. Car search. The female, who was initially detained on a purported warrant, is released with warning. According to Officer Bestor, the male is “going to jail for huffing in public.”

Watch Officer Bestor’s recap below (“…the male involved is going to jail for public nuisance”):

#OPLive host Dan Abrams: “So bad luck for that guy. That falls into the wrong-place at wrong-time category…”

  • Richland County, S.C. — In the above video clip, Cpl. Arrington backs up another deputy who is conducting field sobriety testing at a traffic stop. Arrington allegedly spots an open container. The driver is detained.
  • Baton Rouge, La. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Tracking stolen vehicle.” Officer Coleman and colleagues detain a male in the bushes after a brief foot search. In the video clip below with Officer Coleman’s recap, it turns out that the man, a bicyclist, isn’t involved, and he is quickly released.
