On Patrol Live All-New Tonight for Halloween Night
Happy Halloween: A recap of the October 31, 2026, On Patrol: Live episode on Reelz, as anchored in the #OPLive Jersey City, N.J., studio/control center by attorney/executive producer Dan Abrams, along with members of the the On Patrol Live cast consisting this weekend of retired LEOs Tom Rizzo and Sean “Sticks” Larkin, plus guest analyst Sgt. Kristen McGlothlin, follows below.
This On Patrol: Live ride-along recap/update also includes the often-provocative or playful social media reaction on X (formerly Twitter) to the ride-along law enforcement incidents in the field.
As #OPNation (i.e., the cohort consisting of the reality show’s avid followers) is well aware, and for those viewers and/or social media users new to the program, On Patrol Live on Reelz is more or less a reboot or rebrand of Live PD on a different network.
Updates from Friday Night’s Episode

On Patrol: Live Tonight
Unlike the relatively uneventful #OPLive episode 04-27, Halloween Night 2025, tonight’s episode featured numerous calls directly related to the Halloween celebration
On Patrol: Live studio host Dan Abrams: “It is Halloween night, and there a lot of parties going on…”
See below for details on all 25 law enforcement encounters across nine scheduled police departments on the current active roster in this On Patrol: Live episode guide/recap (although Greene County, Mo., Sheriff’s deputies did not appear).
During the broadcast, #OPNation also got a glimpse of a long queue apparently to get into a haunted house in downtown Baton Rouge as well as presumably some adult Halloween revelers in Greene County, Mo.

On Patrol: Live Recap for Saturday, October 31, 2026 (#OPL Episode 05-28)

- Dorchester County, S.C. — In the video clip below, Lieutenant Londie Richardson and Corporal Barry Lowe respond to a report of a cigar store employee allegedly acting erratically. They detain the man after a brief foot chase. Paramedics summoned. Other deputies are on scene as backup. The subject is transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
Listen below to an incident recap from Lt. Richardson followed by commentary from studio analysts Tom Rizzo and Sgt. Kristen McGlothlin:
- Richland County, S.C. — Deputy Jacob Wood conducts a friendly traffic stop. Two occupants. Car search. The cooperative couple is subsequently released.
#OPLive host Dan Abrams: “As we often see on this show, honesty goes a long way.”
Deputy Wood recap: “The car really smells like marijuana. He said that they may have just been smoking, not like as we pulled up, but there was a roach on this can here; looks like they smoked pretty consistently in here. He had a firearm on him…South Carolina is constitutional carry. Their allowed to do that as long as he’s not prohibited to do so. Seemed like a pretty good dude. I wouldn’t suspect him of anything like that. So we’re just gonna search his car, find this alleged gram of marijuana, seize it, and then send them on their way. Man, they were trick or treating without costumes. They should go to jail for that to be honest…dude was honest and forthcoming about everything…”
- Berkeley County, S.C. — Deputy Miles Mathis initiates a friendly traffic stop. The driver has mismatched shoes On Patrol: Live caption: “Is the shoe on the other foot?” Deputy Mathis to the driver: “I need a story on these shoes, brother…that’s crazy work right there.” The driver seems to indicate that his girlfriend stole his shoe. He is released with a verbal warning apparently for some kind of equipment-related infraction.
- Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of disorderly conduct.” Officers Mike Gee and Chris Mulinix provide backup on scene where cops have detained a female subject outside a store. Officer Mulinix: “Seems like she’s a little bit intoxicated.” #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “So it sounds like they have dealt with her before and relatively recently, and it seems that maybe that particular interaction involved her not wearing as many clothes as she’s wearing now.”
- Bernalillo County, N.M. — Deputy Jose De La Cruz responds to a two-car accident. No apparent injuries. One of the driver’s apparently was heading to a Halloween party. A jovial discussion of the merits or lack thereof of pineapple on pizza ensues. #OPLive host Dan Abrams separately observes that “probably not the best costume to have on him in an accident, right? The cop walks over, sees black under the guy’s eyes. Like, oh, ‘call an ambulance.'”
- Baton Rouge, La. — Detective Andrew Carlton, with Corporals Smith and Jermaine Javius as backup, makes a traffic stop for a window tint issue and for allegedly cutting through a parking lot to avoid a red light. The driver’s mom, who is on the phone, apparently provides the vehicle registration. The apologetic young man is subsequently released with a warning.
- Tempe, Ariz. — Officer Camille Poznecki looks for a subject only wearing white underwear who allegedly approached a motorist; the subject was allegedly trying to discard evidence “and then he threw scissors and pants into the car. The complainant made him take it back.” On Patrol: Live caption: “Searching for scissoring suspect.” Officer Poznecki: “We kind of searched the downtown area and haven’t really found anything. So far now, we’re gonna clear. We might be back for him, though…” #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “That’s got to be Halloween, right?…”
- Toledo, Ohio (pre-recorded segment) — In the video clip below, Detectives Steve Kucinski and Aaron Dudley, and many other officers, pursue a fleeing minivan. #OPLive host Dan Abrams introduces the segment by describing it as “a bizarre pursuit involving a driver who was blinded by more than just the lights and sirens.”
- Richland County, S.C. — Deputy Wood, with K9 Specialist John O’Shaughnessy assisting, initiates a traffic stop for allegedly running a light, operating with high beams activated, and failure to maintain lane. Three occupants, one of whom is wearing a leprechaun costume. #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “Luck of the Irish not kicking in tonight for this guy.” #OPLive studio analyst Tom Rizzo: “…a wee bit of marijuana.” Probable cause car search. Deputy Wood suspects that on eof the occupants had tossed a joint, rather than a cigarette, out the window. On Patrol: Live caption: “Open containers, gun, and marijuana found.” The gun is allegedly stolen. The alcohol is poured out. Abrams: “…it seems that they’re ready to let these guys go, but leprechaun there seemed ready to let the woman he was with go, as well.” The alcohol is poured out. Abrams: “It’s always sad to see some fine liquor being poured out.”
Listen below to Deputy Wood’s preliminary recap:
Deputy Wood: “Where are you guys partying tonight? You’re not partying? So you just left here dressed as a leprechaun for nothing?…”
On Patrol: Live Hour 2
- Idaho Falls, Idaho — Officer Cooper Merrill makes routine contact with an older gentleman outside a convenience store. Officer Merrill: “I don’t think he was high. I think he just had some disabilities.”
- Dorchester County, S.C. — Lt. Richardson responds to a noise complaint and makes contact with the cooperative homeowner. Lt. Richardson recap: “Just spoke to the homeowner, and I don’t hear anything. So there’s nothing really for me to do…kids just hanging out outside when it’s Halloween Night, to be expected, so we’re gonna get out of here. As long as they keep the volume down, hopefully we don’t have to come back.”
- Tempe, Ariz. (pre-recorded segment) — In the video clip below, Officer Matthew Packer investigates a confrontation of some kind. #OPLive host Dan Abrams (to Sgt. McGlothlin): “What do you make of it?” Sgt. McGlothlin: “That would be like a house cat fighting a raccoon….”
- Triple Play #3 — a Miami, Fla., police pursuit of a carjacked vehicle that, according to On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams, “turned into a ‘demolition derby.'” On Patrol: Live studio analyst Sean Larkin: “You needed, like, Benny Hill music, going, during that chase.”
- Baton Rouge, La. — Cpl. Smith makes a traffic stop on a pickup truck for no lights and no plates. No update on this stop from On Patrol: Live either.
- Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live caption: “In pursuit.” Officers Gee and Mulinix plus other units pursue a vehicle that allegedly refused to pull over. On Patrol: Live caption: “Felony stop.” Cops detain the driver. “I’m not running from nobody.” The latter seems to decline field sobriety testing. Officer Mulinix: “So he finally came to rest here. He didn’t hit any vehicles on the way. He’s highly intoxicated. We got him out of the vehicle safely. Nobody got injured. No cars got hit…we’re gonna proceed with an OVI and the failure to comply with us. So we’re gonna make some phone calls to the detective bureau and start getting some paperwork going.”
Listen below to #OPLive studio analyst Tom Rizzo discuss pursuit polices that differ among agencies and jurisdictions:
Officer Gee follow-up: “So we stopped this guy; eventually he stopped here. Looks like he’s got some warrants. He’s suspended. Highly intoxicated tonight. He claims that he didn’t know what was going on or why that he’s being stopped by the police. But clearly he was. Every time he turned, he’s seen police cars, and we were behind him the entire time. So we’re gonna get a hold of our detectives right now; let them know what we have. We’ll probably end up taking this guy down to our second floor to speak to a detective.”
- Richland County, S.C. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of a fight in progress.” Deputy Wood and Specialist O’Shaughnessy respond to the scene of a large party. There does not seem to be anyone fighting there, however. Police begin to disperse the crowd. Deputy Wood on his PA mic: “Get to your car and go home.” Deputy Wood separately escorts a young man to his girlfriend and her car.
Deputy Wood: “I’m just holding on to you like this so you don’t fall, okay?…do not throw up on me or we will have a problem, okay?…you’re about to throw up. I could feel your mouth watering…there’s a lot of cars here with girls in them…”
- Bernalillo County, N.M. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Tracking vehicle.” Deputy Santiago Sandoval initiates a traffic stop for alleged speeding. During the interaction, the cooperative driver, who allegedly is under age 21, is given the option of pouring out the cans of what appears to be a box of Twisted Tea. #OPLive host Dan Abrams: “We’ve seen that happen before.” The motorist ends up getting arrested, however, for an alleged probation violation.
@Johnbarney504 @ReelzChannel @OfficialOPLive @opnation @OPLiveyes @OnPatrolLive Nope, neither… gettin arrested anyway
— Kathy Johnson (@kjohnson1014) November 1, 2026
- Toledo, Ohio — Cops including Officer Kaleb Torbet are on scene where a woman in costume seems animated. Bleeping. Although it’s not clear, it seems this interaction might be unrelated to the previous pursuit call, although the subject of that call, the male driver, is detained in the back of a police cruiser on scene.
Officer Torbet summary: “So evidently, at the Cherry Woods [neighborhood], they are having arguments in regards to being intoxicated in cars. She’s supposed to be going with her sister, and her sister tried to get her back, so hopefully she goes back with her sister, so she doesn’t end up getting arrested later on tonight if she continues on the road…we’re gonna stay on scene until everybody else clears up for this OVI pursuit, whatever, and make sure that no one else over here tries to intervene.”

On Patrol: Live Hour 3
- Bernalillo County, N.M. — Deputy De La Cruz is flagged down by a female who apparently tells him that she needs a bathroom break but she is apparently not allowed to enter a certain location. Deputy De La Cruz: “…go find a bush…just don’t do it in front of people…”
Listen below to a bemused Deputy De La Cruz followed by some brief #OPLive studio reaction:
- BOLO segment — a Tennessee prison escapee:
- Idaho Falls, Idaho — Sergeant Brandon Norman and other cops detain a man after a brief foot pursuit who allegedly has a warrant. Cops try to find the car that the subject arrived in.
Listen below to Officer Merrill and Sgt. Norman recap this incident:
- Dorchester County, S.C. — Lt. Richardson responds to another noise complaint at a Halloween party. Lt. Richardson summary: “…it’s definitely loud when we came on. So they eventually opened up the door; made contact with the homeowner. He’s gonna try to keep them quiet, but if not, we’ll have to handle it a little differently. But there’s a lot of people here…”
- Tempe, Ariz. — On Patrol: Live caption: “Report of sandbags being thrown at car.” Officer Poznecki makes contact with the complainant.
- Missing segment — Berkeley, Calif.
- Toledo, Ohio — On Patrol: Live captions: “Report of shooting,” “Investigating shooting.” As the episode concludes, police including Officers Gee and Mulinix respond to a residence on an initial report of multiple persons shot. It turns out that the house got shot up, but apparently or possible no one was injured. Heavy bleeping. Investigation ongoing. See video clips below for further information:
