Investigative reporter Michelle McPhee broke the story last night that ex-Boston Red Sox player Hanley Ramirez is allegedly linked to a drug trafficking investigation.

A crying little girl whose image was blasted all over the Internet as a symbol of the Trump (and Obama) administration’s harsh family separation policy was never separated from her mother at the southern border. They are currently detained together in McAllen, Tex, where the mom has applied for asylum.
ESPN put out a press release yesterday boasting that ratings for the 6 p.m. Eastern time edition of the flagship SportsCenter anchored by Sage Steele and Kevin Negandhi are up 19 percent year over year.
Blue-check Twitter is apparently calling for ex-NBA star and coach Kevin McHale to be fired from his job as a TNT commentator after allegedly attending the Donald Trump rally in Duluth, Minn., last night.
A now-deleted tweet by Easy Rider actor Peter Fonda has been brought to the attention of the U.S. Secret Service.
Fonda, who seems very uneasy about the situation involving family separation at the southern border, took to social media early this morning to propose that Barron Trump, the young son of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, should be thrown in a cage with pedophiles.
The U.S. has perhaps the most generous immigration policies on the planet, and when combined with an unsecured border, makes all the current virtual signaling, selective outrage, and hyperbole about separating families at the border so tedious and phony. America has a big heart for those in need, making any comparison to concentration camps disgusting. The situation at the border is chaotic and tragic to be sure; the government has now opened what it calls tender-age shelters for infants and toddlers. There is talk that President Trump may issue an executive order to minimize family separation.
Former lifelong liberal Brandon Straka has kicked off a grassroots social media effort to encourage others to exit the Democratic Party and the left in general.
ESPN’s much-hyped morning show Get Up (which oddly has an exclamation point in its official title) appears to be a failure to date.
The program backed by an extensive publicity campaign premiered on April 2 as a replacement for the traditional a.m. SportsCenter and has struggled in the ratings since then. It features principal host Mike Greenberg along with co-hosts Michelle Beadle and ex-NBA player Jalen Rose, who broadcast from an expensive new studio in lower Manhattan in New York City rather than from the so-called Worldwide Leader’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn. ESPN is paying the trio about $15 million in combined salary.
Season 1 of the legal/crime drama Goliath on Amazon Prime may provide clues as to whether Season 2 is worth binge-watching. Both seasons consist of eight episodes starring Oscar-winner Billy Bob Thornton. Season 2 premiered on June 15.
