Depending upon where you’re coming from, you can react to the same video clip of a political confrontation in a totally opposite way. For the very same viral clip, Internet users often conclude that A schooled/owned B or B schooled/owned A. Among other things, this is a form of confirmation bias.

Since the inconclusive (to say the least) July 24 Robert Meuller testimony, the media center gravity has switched back from Russia collusion to leveling charges of racism against President Donald Trump. Evidence for Trump as a racist, according his foes, includes that he used term “very fine people” in the aftermath of the Charlottesville protest that tragically turned deadly.
Trump’s ‘Go Back’ Tweet Was a Bigly Unforced Error
It’s difficult to believe that U.S. President Donald Trump was playing 3D chess when he tweeted out last Sunday that several radical, first-term Democrat Congresswomen (now known as the Squad) should go back to their home countries. The POTUS apparently forgot that when your opponents are fighting among themselves, you should get out of the way.
It’s fair to say that it is unlikely that FNC host Tucker Carlson and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) will be sharing a Thanksgiving meal together anytime soon.
Corporate America, including Big Tech, credulously allows skewed “hate group” data from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a basis for de-platforming mainstream, responsible right-of-center commentators or groups, or others perceived to be politically conservative. Referencing a tell-all published by The New Yorker late last month, Washington Examiner columnist Becket Adams excoriates the civil rights organization loved by the mainstream fake news media, however, of actually functioning as a “vicious, left-wing attack dog” and money-making scam that smears “Christians and anti-extremist activists.”
In the aftermath of the Jussie Smollett apparent hoax, several college professors have concluded that hate crime hoaxes are more common than popular perception. Chicago cops have charged the Empire actor with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report after a claim that he was assaulted by two MAGA-hat wearing, MAGA-country shouting Trump supporters. Some two dozen detectives investigated the Smollett case in a city that is engulfed in an ongoing gun violence crime wave. Hate crime hoaxes obviously prevent law enforcement authorities from deploying resources to investigate real hate crimes and/or serious felonies.
On fake news CNN this morning, a talking-points-spouting Democrat Congresswoman tried to blame President Trump for a 1980s vintage racist yearbook page under the name of now Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, a fellow Democrat. Bernie Sanders-supporting far-left activist Nina Tuner, another panelist sitting with Jake Tapper on the State of the Union set, who nonetheless thinks Trump is a racist, wasn’t buying it, however.
In an interview with The Daily Caller, strident anti-Trump Hollywood and entertainment industry gossip blogger Perez Hilton admitted that, in general, agrees with the president about ending birthright citizenship, prompting an immediate backlash.
“The gossip king says he has been called a ‘racist’ among other nasty names on social media since he made the remarks a couple weeks ago. He also says he lost a thousand Twitter followers over it,” TDC reported.

Although he is at times just trolling his foes, let’s stipulate that U.S. President Donald Trump stirs up controversies or lashes out in disputes that he should avoid. Sometimes using imprecise language, the bombastic POTUS is also using his platform to communicate to the electorate over the heads of the hostile news media.
The polarizing, abrasive president and former real estate mogul and reality TV star is a salesman and not a detail guy to be sure, which causes the beltway echo chamber to brand him a liar, but as FNC’s Greg Gutfeld has noted, he should be judged on his deeds — such as a booming economy among other accomplishments — rather than words.
In September 2016, journalist Selena Zito famously wrote in The Atlantic in reference to the skeptical blue-check media’s fact-checking Trump’s claims (something that Obama was never subjected to), ”the press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally.”
