It’s fair to say that it is unlikely that FNC host Tucker Carlson and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) will be sharing a Thanksgiving meal together anytime soon.

Related to giving thanks or lack thereof, In an editorial last night on Tucker Carlson Tonight, the anchor wondered why Omar — an accused anti-Semite who faces allegations of tax fraud and immigration fraud — hates America so much despite the U.S. “rescuing” her and her family from an overseas refugee camp.

Given this state of affairs, Carlson is calling for an overhaul of the entire asylum process. (He’s not the only one, of course.)

Identity politics pushing Democrats and assorted race hustlers are responsible for this learned behavior, Carlson added. “It is our cultural gatekeepers who stoke the resentment of new arrivals and turn them into grievance mongers like Ilhan Omar. The left did that to her, and to us.”

Omar responded by predictably accusing Carlson of racism and calling for an advertiser boycott. It turns out that Tucker Carlson has been a huge upgrade over Bill O’Reilly in the coveted 8 p.m. Eastern time slot. A boycott might work for someone of lesser stature, but not Carlson, who obviously is going to continue to speak out. Tucker Carlson Tonight could benefit from longer segments, however, and the host might dial back some of the fawning praise about his guests.
